The belmontfinance.co.nz website is provided as information about the services Belmont arranges. Use of the website constitutes acceptance of these terms. If a visitor does not accept these terms, they should not use the website.

Submitting an application.

The form on the apply page is an enquiry, not a credit application. Submitting the form authorises Belmont to contact the applicant by email and phone to discuss the placement, and to gather the supporting documents needed to assess the file.

A formal credit application is only made after Belmont has issued an engagement letter naming the proposed lender and the indicative commission Belmont will receive, and the borrower has authorised the submission in writing.

Belmont is a credit broker, not a financial adviser.

Information on this website and information provided by Belmont in the course of arranging a placement is not regulated financial advice as defined by the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. Belmont is not a Financial Advice Provider and does not hold a licence from the Financial Markets Authority.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights the borrower has under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other consumer-protection legislation that cannot be contracted out of.

Jurisdiction.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes arising in connection with this website or with a Belmont engagement are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts, without prejudice to a borrower's right to refer a complaint to the Financial Dispute Resolution Service.

Belmont may update these terms from time to time. The date below records the most recent change. Material updates that affect borrowers with active engagements will be notified by email.
